Building a brighter Bali by equipping all children with essential English language skills

In Bali, many local children don’t have the chance to learn English, a skill crucial for their future. While kids in the south may pick up some English through tourism, many others across the island are left without the opportunity to learn.

At Educate Bali, we aim to change that. By equipping all children with essential English language skills, we’re working to secure their future and open doors to greater opportunities. Together, we can build a brighter, more connected Bali for the next generation.

Goals

Short-Term (1 Year):

Launch English education programs in 3 key regions across Bali.
Kick off the Educate Bali Running Club and 5 other community events.

Mid-Term (3 Years):

Expand our English education network to reach 25% of schools in Bali.
Involve over 500 active volunteers and partner with major global education stakeholders.

Long-Term (5 Years):

Provide English education to all local schools in Bali.
Establish Educate Bali as a model for similar programs across other Indonesian islands.

We’re a diverse group of passionate individuals—both locals and internationals—who have come together with a shared mission: to create a positive impact in Bali. Some of us arrived from the West to build our dream lives here, while others are proud locals dedicated to uplifting their communities. We’re business owners, creatives, and everyday people who have found purpose in giving back.

At Educate Bali, we recognize the challenges facing the education system in Bali. Many children struggle to access quality education, particularly when it comes to learning English. Without these crucial skills, they find it difficult to pursue opportunities that extend beyond their immediate surroundings, limiting their potential for personal and professional growth.

We believe in building brighter futures—not just through early childhood education but also through workforce and leadership development. Our mission encompasses teaching English and equipping children with the skills to become good friends, confident leaders, and successful professionals. Learning English opens doors to amazing job opportunities and helps them forge connections that will shape their futures.
